Computer Society of India is the first and largest body of computer professionals in India. In our Institution the professional Chapter started in Sep-2009 with 120 student’s membership. Student’s memberships are increased year by year, more than 2500 students are registered in CSI and various events are conducted in association with CSI student’s chapter.
Formed in 1965, the CSI has been instrumental in guiding the Indian IT industry down the right path since its formative years. Today, the CSI has 72 chapters all over India, 511 student branches, and more than 100000 members. The mission of the CSI is to facilitate research, knowledge sharing, learning and career enhancement for all categories of IT professionals, while
simultaneously inspiring and nurturing new entrants into the industry and helping them to integrate into the IT community. As a professional body, the CSI encourages and supports research and development projects in information and communications technologies. It also has also been partially funding the Participation of Indian IT professionals at renowned international
IT conferences. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is proud to be associated with Computer Society of India. Since inception, MVIT- CSI Chapter have shown continuous enrollment of around 200 students every year from 2009. Till date, nearly 45 programs have been conducted in association with CSI-Student Chapter.
