Dr. S. Vaidheeswaran, the present Controller of Examinations is a Professor in the Department of Management Studies at Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology, Puducherry, with 29 years of professional experience, comprising 17 years in academia and 12 years in industry in Operations and Maintenance in the chemical process industry.
He holds a Ph.D. in Management from Bharathiar University, awarded in 2021 with a “Highly Commendable” remark, and possesses an MBA in Marketing, M.Tech. in Thermal Engineering and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
Over his academic career, Dr. Vaidheeswaran has undertaken several significant institutional responsibilities, including Programme Academic Coordinator for MBA, Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Coordinator for SDG-9, Innovation Ambassador, and responsibilities in Industry-Institute Interaction, R&D and IQAC activities. He has contributed to institutional policy development and is familiar with NAAC and NBA quality assurance and compliance practices.
An active researcher, he has published 23 research papers in journals, including Scopus-indexed and UGC CARE-listed journals, and has contributed several book chapters and conference publications. He has also received Best Paper Awards and served as a resource person and keynote speaker at academic and professional forums.
As the Controller of Examinations, Dr. Vaidheeswaran is committed to upholding the principles of integrity, transparency, confidentiality, accuracy and timely execution in all examination-related processes, while continuously striving to strengthen the efficiency and quality of the institution’s examination system.
