TBI (Technology Business Incubator)
As the top engineering college, MVIT has a technology incubator. TBI aims in helping students with Innovative ideas to become an Entrepreneur. Many students nowadays have an aim to become a business person. Many of them have the potential and skill to be one. But they may not have the proper guidance and molding required to become a successful one.
TBI focuses on supporting, molding and developing the innovative ideas of students and help them in focusing on becoming a successful entrepreneur.
India is the country with the most number of successful startups worldwide. Innovation and business development is playing a major role in development of our society and nation. Also it is one of the fast developing sectors in a young country like India.
This Cell aims to foster Techno-entrepreneurship more systematically and comprehensively with a focus on incubating in all ventures through technology interventions. The idea behind is to promote and develop high-end entrepreneurship and assist future entrepreneurs to develop their technology venture through commercialization.
Focus
- Our major focus is to nurture the start-ups in the emerging technology areas and provide assistance to SMEs.
- Creation of technology based new enterprises.
- Creation of value added jobs and services.
- Developing new tools of technology transfer.
- Fostering the entrepreneurial spirit.
- Speedy commercialization of R&D outputs.
- Creation of technological awareness in existing Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).
- Assistance to existing SMEs by way of specialized services.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Arranging for entrepreneurship and product incubation awareness and motivation programs like workshops & seminars for our students.
- Identification of best innovative project ideas of our students and faculty leads to product development, then arranging for discussions with Govt. EDP Experts and MSME experts.
- Initiate the action for starting Innovation cafe in our college.
- Facilitating conduction of skill development programs, Technical workshop & training, Value added Hands on Training Program which leads to self employment through entrepreneurship.
TBI Success Formula
- Students and staff are directly involved in product/services development along with the entrepreneurs and TBI. It creates a win-win situation for both staff/students and entrepreneurs.
- MVIT as a host institute makes its facilities available to the entrepreneurs.
- Faculties are also involved in conducting training programs for staff, students and working engineers.
