About the Department

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Internet of Things, Cyber security, and Blockchain Technology) is dedicated to advancing education, research, and innovation. Established in 2020 with an initial intake of 60 students, the department has grown into a center for cutting-edge learning and development in emerging technologies. To support academic and research excellence, the department maintains a well-equipped library featuring the latest books, journals, and magazines, all with online accessibility. To enhance students’ skills and industry readiness, we actively conduct seminars, workshops, and expert-led sessions covering the latest trends and advancements in technology.

Exploring IoT, Cyber security, and Blockchain : These fields are transforming industries and driving technological progress: Internet of Things (IoT): Connecting devices to enable smart automation in sectors like healthcare, industrial systems, and home technology. Cybersecurity: Safeguarding digital systems, data, and infrastructure against ever-evolving cyber threats. Blockchain Technology: Revolutionizing digital security and transparency through decentralized, tamper-proof data management in finance, healthcare, and beyond.

Developing Future Cyber security Experts : Recognizing the increasing demand for cyber security professionals, our Cyber security program is designed in collaboration with industry leaders to equip students with essential skills in cryptography, network security, cloud protection, and digital forensics. With a strong emphasis on hands-on training, students gain expertise in threat analysis, ethical hacking, and security risk management, preparing them for real-world challenges in securing digital assets.

Programme Outcomes (PO)

PO1: Engineering knowledge: Apply knowledge of mathematics and science, with fundamentals of Engineering and Technology to solve complex engineering problems related to Computer Science and Engineering.

PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems related to CSE to reach substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems related to CSE and design system components or processes that meet specified needs, considering public health, safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and methods, including designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, and synthesizing information, to provide valid conclusions.

PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to computer science-related complex engineering activities, understanding the limitations.

PO6: The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues, and understand the responsibilities relevant to professional engineering practice.
