About the Department
The Department of IT Information Technology was established in the year 2008 with the objective of imparting knowledge in cutting-edge technologies in IT Information Technology. Department was started with an intake of 60 students in 2008; the sanctioned intake was increased to 120 seats in the year 2012 .
The Department was accredited by NBA-AICTE, New Delhi. The Department has a team of dynamic, young and dedicated staff, with specialization in wide array of areas. The Department has well equipped laboratories with 120 Computer Systems with facilities that are vital to train the students in state-of-art software and hardware.
The Department always strives to reach the latest technology and advancement in this field to the young learners as well as aspirants by inviting the corporate legends and experienced academicians to enlighten the IT Information Technology community of our institution.Department Vision and Mission

Graduates of Information Technology will
PEO1: Employability: Graduates apply the knowledge of computations, engineering and technology to pursue a good career in the Information Technology.

Programme Outcomes (PO)
PO1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
PO6: The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
PO7: Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

The Department of Information Technology was established in the year 2008 with the objective of imparting knowledge in cutting-edge technologies in Information Technology. Department was started with an intake of 60 students in 2008; the sanctioned intake was increased to 120 seats in the year 2012. Our IT Department was accredited by National Board of accreditation, New Delhi for the 3 years from 2022-23 to 2024-25. The Department has a team of dynamic, young and dedicated staff, with specialization in wide array of areas. The Department has well equipped laboratories with 120 computer Systems with facilities that are vital to train the students in state-of-art software and hardware.
Our IT department has arranged the guest lectures, workshops, special lecture, Industrial visits and internship for students in association with academicians and Industry experts to fulfil the gap in the curriculum.
Faculty members are associated in establishing- participating-conducting different value addition programs such as, NPTEL, IIT-Bombay Spoken Tutorial Program, SWAYAM program, Coursera , ICT-learnathon Program and lots more.
Our students have participated in different Inter-Intra Institutional events, company specific contest & SIH and bagged different prizes.
Taking special care for slow learners by special coaching class conducting and counselling the students to improve their academic performance.
Our IT department signed MoU’s with reputed industry to support industrial need training for our students.
Our IT department established the Centre of Excellence lab with Google, Microsoft, Cisco, AWS academy and IBM to conduct value added course and to provide international certification for our students.
The alumni made all level of contribution to the department to improve the quality of education in our institute. The department never forgets its alumni support towards department.
